چکیده

Osteochondral loose bodies are uncommon in the temporomandibular joint but occur relatively frequently in the large joints such as the knee, elbow and hip.’ They may be associated with synovial osteochondromatosis or may occur secondary to osteoarthritis, intracapsular fractures, osteochondritis dissecans, rheumatoid arthritis, syphilis or tuberculosis.2,3,4 A survey of literature reveals around sixty-eight previous cases of osteochondral bodies affecting the temporomandibular joint, almost invariably with unilateral involvement.4’5,6 We report an unusual case affecting both temporomandibular joints, associated with gross enlargement of the condyle on one side.
